Portland Crowned Charity of the Year at Business Awards

Last week, at a prestigious ceremony in Mansfield, Portland College won the title of Charity of the Year in the Mansfield and Ashfield 2020 Business Awards.

This wonderful recognition celebrates the huge impact the college has had on people with disabilities throughout Mansfield and Ashfield and beyond.

As we enter into what are hopefully the final stages of the COVID roadmap, we can reflect with immense pride on the last 18 months. The college continued to deliver a vital education and care service to vulnerable young adults, whilst working on several developments to ensure Portland remains a sustainable, forward thinking charity with a strong future.

Mark Dale, Principal & CEO commented; “As a college we are thrilled to be recognised by Mansfield & Ashfield 2020 again this year. This category is really special as we celebrate the college’s 70th anniversary and how far we have developed and grown to become a vibrant national college and leading specialist provider for disabled people.

Many local businesses have supported us throughout our 70+ years – we wouldn’t be where we are without their support, so to have their recognition in this award feels incredible.”
